An MEE Heritage Company - Since 1961
Founded on 11 November 1961 by Mr. Ahmad Tarakji, MEE (Middle East Establishment for Industrial Equipment) was established with a clear vision: to introduce world-class industrial technologies to the Middle East and serve as a trusted bridge between leading European machinery manufacturers and the regional textile, plastics, printing & packaging, and metal industries.
From its earliest years, MEE represented internationally recognized technology leaders and earned the confidence of major industrial manufacturers through technical expertise, integrity, and long-term partnerships. Rather than acting solely as a machinery supplier, the company became recognized for delivering feasibility studies, turnkey industrial projects, engineering consultancy, and complete industrial solutions, combining engineering excellence with practical manufacturing experience.
Under the executive leadership of the second generation, Mr. Tayssir Tarakji, MEE expanded significantly throughout the Middle East. Drawing on more than five decades of international industrial experience—including continuous participation in leading global exhibitions such as ITMA, K Show, and Interpack since 1975—the company established strategic partnerships with some of the world's leading technology providers, including Rieter, Muratec, Luwa, Barmag, USTER, Graf, Bräcker, Jakob Müller, Arburg, Kuhne, Lehmacher, SML, Lenzing, Kurtz, and many other internationally respected manufacturers.
Over the years, MEE participated in the planning, establishment, modernization, and technical development of more than 100 industrial projects. Its services extended far beyond machinery supply to include industrial feasibility studies, factory planning, technology selection, engineering consultancy, production optimization, quality improvement, after-sales technical support, spare parts supply, service stations, and long-term industrial development.
Following the relocation of many Syrian textile manufacturers after 2012, the company expanded its consultancy activities into Egypt, where it continued supporting Syrian investors in establishing modern spinning mills and developing highly competitive manufacturing operations. During this period, MEE contributed to numerous successful projects for companies including BIDCO, Belyarn, Shahbatex, Skytex, Shamtex, Sportex, Cotton Town, Ros Yarn, Fourtex Co., and many others.
In 2019, the third generation, Mr. Homam Tarakji, joined the business, continuing a family legacy built on technical excellence, innovation, and long-term client partnerships while bringing a modern perspective to industrial consultancy and project development.
As the company's consultancy activities expanded beyond machinery representation into strategic industrial advisory services, ConsultLead was established as its specialized consulting division. While MEE remains the historic foundation and industrial heritage of the family business, ConsultLead represents its evolution into a comprehensive consultancy specializing in textile manufacturing—particularly spinning mills—as well as industrial strategy, technology transfer, operational excellence, and investment advisory services.
For more than six decades, our mission has remained unchanged: we bring your ideas to life through knowledge, technology, and trusted industrial partnerships.
Today, with more than six decades of industrial heritage, three generations of leadership, and participation in over 100 successful industrial projects, ConsultLead supports investors, manufacturers, and government institutions across the region, contributing to industrial development and the future revival of Syria's manufacturing sector.
As we look to the future, we remain committed to empowering the next generation of industrial investors by transforming ideas into sustainable manufacturing businesses that create long-term value for industry, society, and future generations.
